MOLLIE: "CHERYL COLE IS AN INSPIRATION"
Posted by admin on 08 Jun 2010

The Saturdays have hailed Cheryl Cole as an "inspiration".

The band, who recently announced details of new single 'Missing You', admitted that they are inspired by Cole's solo success away from Girls Aloud.

Group member Mollie King told the Daily Record: "I love the idea of trying other things - we all do. If I was asked to record a little collaboration with someone I really like, of course I would be up for it as long as I had time.

"You have to pick what you do wisely and who you work with. I am up for anything on the side - telly stuff, presenting, the lot. The main thing is I would never want anything to take over from The Saturdays - and we all feel that way."

She continued: "It's very important to us that the band comes first at all times and everyone knows that's how it is. Cheryl's success is obviously inspiring and we all want to be successful after the band. But at the moment we are at such an early stage of our career that we are not even thinking about it all coming to an end. There is so much good stuff to focus on at the moment for all five of us."

Fellow Saturdays member Frankie Sandford currently features on the new Kid In Glass Houses single 'Undercover Lover'.
