MOLLIE WISHES CHERYL ROAD TO RECOVERY
Posted by admin on 22 Jul 2010

Mollie King hopes Cheryl Cole will “get better soon.”

The Saturdays singer – who herself was temporarily out-of-action recently due to cellulitis – says she can sympathise with the X Factor star, as she recovers from malaria.

“Cheryl must be feeling really down,”
Mollie said. “It’s horrible for anyone to miss out on work but especially with her as she’s going through a real high point of her career right now.

“At least with me, I had the rest of The Saturdays to carry on as we have a new single and new album to promote,”
King then added to the Daily Record. “With her, everything has to stop.

“I just want to tell her to get better soon and hang in there. All of The Saturdays wish her better and hope she can recover as soon as possible.”

ITV2 SIGN UP THE SATURDAYS
Posted by admin on 22 Jul 2010

Girlband, The Saturdays, have been given their own documentary series on ITV2.

Una Healy, Mollie King, Frankie Sandford, Vanessa White and Rochelle Wiseman will be followed around by a camera crew as they tour the country promoting their music.

According to The Sun, the show will be similar to The Monkees' TV series in the 1960s and the girls will "burst into song" at various points in the show.

ITV2 confirmed that the programme will follow the girls "in their dressing rooms, at home and on the red carpets. And in each episode the girls will burst into song to perform their latest hits."

TitledJust Can't Get Enough, the series will air on Thursday nights at 9pm in the autumn.

"I'M FIGHTING FIT, AND READY TO PERFORM"
Posted by admin on 22 Jul 2010

She was left on crutches when she was bitten by a horsefly and her foot swelled up to three times its normal size.

But The Saturdays’ Mollie King has been able to go back on stage thanks to a radical remedy – a pair of high heels.

The singer was left in agony by bites on her heel which she got while sailing off the coast of Scotland.

Now back with the other four girls after a fortnight hobbling around on crutches, she told how pulling on a pair of shoes eases the pain of the skin infection Cellulitis.

Mollie, 23, said: “I’m wearing high heels for the shows now. But it kind of helps, just don’t tell the doctor.

“Wearing heels, all the pressure is on the ball of my foot and not the heel. My heel is still aching a little bit but I’m taking painkillers. It will be fine. ”

With Cheryl Cole recovering from malaria and Sam Fox being treated for rabies after being bitten by a cat in Thailand, it seemed Mollie was one of a group of showbiz gals in the wars.

MORE INFO OF "HEADLINES" REVEALED
Posted by admin on 05 Jul 2010

The Saturdays have revealed more details about their new album "Headlines".

The group, who performed new single 'Missing You' for the first time at yesterday's T4 On The Beach, have recorded a total of five new songs for the eight-track mini LP.

The remaining songs will be singles 'Forever Is Over', 'Ego' and a remix of the album track 'One Shot' from their previous record Wordshaker.

Rochelle Wiseman told Digital Spy: "We'd finished the last album and we'd come across some songs that we were really excited about. The songs that we had found were so current, and we'd written a couple of songs ourselves, [so] we wanted to just get everything out now."

Una Healy also confirmed that a track called 'Higher' - which the band have already performed live at a number of festivals - will be on the album.

She added: "[There are] some surprises in there - some really great tracks. We're not steering away from what the fans like."

MOLLIE PULLS OUT OF T4 GIG
Posted by admin on 02 Jul 2010

The Saturdays member Mollie King has been forced to pull out of this Sunday's T4 On The Beach due to an injury.

It was reported earlier this week that King was rushed to A&E suffering from cellulitis after being bitten by a horse fly.

The disease - which causes inflammation of the skin - has since left her on crutches, forcing her to pull out of this Sunday's T4 On The Beach gig.

Bandmate Rochelle Wisemen tweeted: "Everyone please send [Mollie] some love, I really hope she gets well soon!! T4onthebeach isn't gonna be right without her :("

The event marks the first time the group will perform their new single 'Missing You'.

MOLLIE KING ADMITTED TO HOSPITAL
Posted by admin on 01 Jul 2010

The Saturdays star Mollie King was admitted to hospital this week after an insect bite left her with a dangerously swollen foot and a nasty skin infection. The singer became concerned and consulted doctors on Monday, June 28 when the bite made the area around her toes turn bright red.

She was diagnosed with inflammatory skin disease cellulitis – and is now resting at home. In a series of posts on her Twitter.com page, she writes, “I have been bitten by a stupid horse fly and now I have a foot like the Nutty Professor’s! It’s massive! In A&E (the hospital’s accident and emergency unit) now! This is NOT fun!”

“I have something called cellulitis and have to be on crutches! It’s not much fun at all. Bed bed and more bed!”

THE SATURDAYS SACK MANAGER!
Posted by admin on 30 Jun 2010

The Saturdays have reportedly fired their manager to gain a "new perspective" on the band's future.

The group are said to have parted ways with long-time manager Jayne Collins, who has worked with them since they formed in 2007.

The Sun reports that the girls made the decision amid fears of being dropped by their label following disappointing sales of second LP Wordshaker, which peaked at number nine in the album chart last year.

A source said: "If the new album doesn't perform well, the girls know they could be heading for the dole queue.

"They bear Jayne no ill will but thought a new perspective might help them this time round."

The girls recently announced that their new album Headlines will be a mini album. Trailer single 'Missing You' is released on August 8.
